Grand & Standing: Iconic 19th-Century Hotels - April 14, 2024

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will kick-off its 2024 Lecture Series with, “Grand & Standing: Iconic 19th Century Hotels”, featuring Deidre Dinnigan, a renowned archivist who has worked for the Waldorf Astoria and Plaza Hotels as well as with prominent New York City institutions and collections that reflect centuries of the city’s culture and change.

The Mansion's Gilded Age Tea - May 19, 2024

In collaboration with Fairfield Museum and History Center at 370 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT, the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will present The Mansion’s Gilded Age Tea. This event will feature luxurious tea refreshments, a silent auction, a hat contest, and a fascinating exploration of Fairfield Museum’s exhibit titled, "Money Talks: The Gilded Age in Fairfield."

Dining in the Gilded Age - June 2, 2024

The Lockwood-Mathews will feature renowned food historian Becky L. Diamond and a special presentation and tasting titled, “Dining in the Gilded Age,” based on her book, The Gilded Age Cookbook: Recipes and Stories from America's Golden Era.

Old Fashion Flea Market - Sept 15, 2024

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum's 17th annual "Old-fashioned Flea Market" returns to Mathews Park, Norwalk, CT. The event will offer bargains and treasures including antiques, repurposed furniture, upcycled collectibles, jewelry, crafts, household items, clothing, toys, specialty farm-to-table foods and more.

The Mansion's Costume Ball - Oct 19, 2024

The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will hold, "The Mansion’s Costume Ball," at the Shore & Country Club, in Norwalk, CT. The Museum will put its unique spin on a practice that Victorians were obsessed with, including Prince Albert and Queen Victoria, who hosted several costume balls during her long reign.
